Australian dating app Tribal teamed up with Sydney pickleball venue House of Pickle for Date & Pickle, a one-night social event for singles. What's On Sydney featured the event, which suits Tribal's approach to dating built around shared values, compatibility and conversation.
The night
Date & Pickle was set for Friday 11 September 2026, from 5.30pm to 8pm, at House of Pickle on Level 4 of the ICC Sydney Event Deck in Darling Harbour. It was open to singles aged 20 to 30, who could come alone or with friends.
The format kept things relaxed: icebreakers first, then casual mixed doubles pickleball, with partners and opponents rotating through the evening. No experience was needed, and beginners got an introduction to the basics. Tickets were $40 and included a drink on arrival for guests who showed the Tribal app at check-in. Posca Hydrate came on board as a sponsor.
The venue
House of Pickle has eight pickleball courts plus a bar and social lounge overlooking Darling Harbour, and runs court hire, open play, beginner clinics, leagues and social events.
